
The largest consumer of bitumen in Asia is China, which mainly buys bitumen in bulk vessels. Although customs tariffs and imports range from South Korea are both high, millions of tons of bitumen are exported to China annually. China mainly imports Modified Bitumen or Bitumen AH Grades. Other major bitumen importers in Asia are Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Yemen, Oman,and Kuwait. Among these countries, Bangladesh is the only country that imports bitumen in short drums.Some countries such as Myanmar and Vietnam mainly import Bitumen Grade 60/70 - 80/100. Oman as a transit point for North Africa and its domestic needs, imports bitumen.
